Die Cast Finishing Capabilities

Del Mar Industries is renowned for producing castings with outstanding as-cast surface quality, an essential requirement for decorative finishes such as bright brass, polished chrome, black nickel and varieties of paint and powdercoat applications.

Some surface treatments however are specific to certain alloys. Magnesium castings can be coated with various mag specific conversion coatings for improved corrosion resistance and also as a paint prep. Zinc and aluminum castings are popular choices for decorative plating finishes such as chrome which require copper and nickel as base layers. Chromate coatings are used for zinc castings and are extremely effective for corrosion resistance and paint prep.
