In the last 60 years, you have probably touched,
owned or used a die casting that was made
at Del Mar Die Casting Company. Did you or
your dad use a Remington electric razor? That
was our Modern Metals Grand Award Winner in
1974 for close tolerance zinc casting. Did
you or your father play with Hot Wheels cars?
The originals were made at Del Mar by the
millions. We have made stapler bodies for
Swingline, magnesium shock tubes for mountain
bikes, and many, many other components used
in day to day lives. Del Mar’s parts
have been used around the world as well as
in outer space applications (satellite communications)
and inner space, 13 parts in an assembly for
an underwater depth finder (1965 Award Winner).
Today, Del Mar’s die
castings are found in big screen televisions,
power tools, aerospace, medical laboratories,
and many other products that enrich our lives
everyday. |
